Able is a social media platform focused on enhancing the fitness lifestyle and keeping its members motivated. Able not only pays its members to work out, but it also connects them to a network of other people with similar fitness goals so they can stay motivated and live a healthier lifestyle. The app uses several features to achieve its purpose, such as Social Interaction, Leaderboards, and Paid Rewards.
SOCIAL INTERACTION
Able provides many features that allow its members to easily interact with one another. Some features include:
- Video, Photo, and Text Posts
- Competing on Leaderboards
LEADERBOARDS
Members of the Able app will automatically participate in Leaderboards. Leaderboards consist of two different leaderboards displayed side-by-side on the “Leaderboard” screen. The turquoise-colored leaderboard on the left-hand side displays the ranking of the members in connection to the number of “Sweat Points” collected by each member. The pink-colored leaderboard on the right-hand side displays the ranking of the members in connection to the number of “Support Points” collected by each member.
Sweat Points:
Sweat Points are received by members of the app when they check into a gym through the app by clicking the “Check Into Gym” button on “My Sweat Points” screen. The member must be located in the gym in order to receive their Sweat Point. Each member is limited to a maximum of one Sweat Point per calendar day. Sweat Points will reset to zero (0) for all members of the app at 12am EST on January 1st of every calendar year.
Support Points:
Support Points are received by members of the app when they post and someone “Supports” their post. Members can “Support” a post by clicking on the pink circular icon. Support Points will reset to zero (0) for all members of the app at 12am EST on the first (1st) day of every month.
PAID REWARDS
How Members Receive Rewards:
Members will receive a reward in the form of USDC in their Able Wallets, where they can later withdraw. The reward per member is determined by various factors. The factors are the total available reward amount, the total outstanding points in the app collected by all of the members, and the number of points the individual member collected.
Total Available Reward Amount:
The total reward made available to reward the members will always be more than 50% of what the company made the previous month. This number will be displayed at the top of the “Leaderboard” screen in the app.
Total Outstanding Points:
The total outstanding points mean the total outstanding Sweat Points and total outstanding Support Points counted separately for their own value at the end of the month.
- Total Outstanding Sweat Points Value is equal to 80% of the Total Available Reward Amount.
- Example: if there are 4,000 total Sweat Points in the app and there is $1000 available for reward, the 4,000 Sweat Points are valued at $800
- Total Outstanding Support Points Value is equal to 20% of the Total Available Reward Amount.
- Example: if there are 10,000 total Support Points in the app and there is $1000 available for reward, the 10,000 Support Points are valued at $200
Number of Points the Individual Member Collected:
The app will take the individual members total number of Sweat Points and total number of Support Points and run the calculation using the other factors to determine how much that individual member will be rewarded for their participation that month.
- For example: Using the value metrics given in prior examples, if a member went to the gym 10 times, thus collecting 10 Sweat Points, that same members 10 Sweat Points will be valued at $2. If that same member also received 50 Support Points, those 50 Support Points will be valued at $1. This means that the member will be rewarded $3 for that month.
NOTE: APPLE IS NOT A SPONSOR OF THIS REWARD PROGRAM AND IS NOT INVOLVED IN ANY MANNER WITH ANY OF THE ACTIVITIES SURROUNDING THE REWARDS PROGRAM.
